Dr. Tse is Professor and Deputy Chair, Dept. of Immunology & Microbiology, Wayne State University, School of Medicine in Detroit.  He is also a Visiting Professor at the Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. 

Dr Tse is a master grant writer with awards from the National Institutes of Health, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the American Heart Association and National Myasthenia Gravis Society among others.  He has been awarded nearly 20 million dollars in total direct and indirect funds. 

He is the recipient of a Research Career Development Award from the NINDS, at the NIH.  Dr Tse has been a member of multiple grant study sections for the past three decades. He also serves as an ad hoc editor for 13 peer reviewed journals.
